Awards - Will be given to the overall male and female champion runners and to the top three runners in each of the following divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over. Awards will also be given to the top three overall male and female walkers. Team awards will be given to the overall male and female team champions in open and university divisions.

Teams - Teams will consist of three (minimum) participants of the same sex. The race will be scored similiar to a cross-country meet, with the three places added together to formulate a point total. The low score will be crowed champion. Teams must determine whether they will participate in the open or university competition. The university competition is limited to students, faculty, and staff. All sport points will be issued by the intramural office to the univeristy champions.

Course -The 5,000 - meter layout will offer an extreme challenge to most with a series of significant hills. The start and finish will take place in Bobcat stadium on the campus of Frostburg State University. Water will be available, along with mile splits.

Entry Fees - $12.00 for entries received on or before April 25, $15 on race day. Frostburg State students must pay $7.00 on or before April 25 or $10 on race day (with valid ID). Each participant will receive a high quality 1997 Great Bobcat Run t-shirt.

Packets/Late Registration - Packets will be available on April 26th 6 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. at Bobcat Stadium. Late registration will also take place at the stadium from 6 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., t-shirts will be given on a first come first serve basis. To guarantee preferred shirt size register prior to race day.
